Thanks for the email. I actually went through my huge stack of free magazines last week too. I had a bunch of Old Orchard juice coupons- B1G1 free and .50 off one coupons. I think these were in Weight Watchers, Parenting, and maybe Shape?
I tried to use both coupons at meijer last week…. I bought 2 Old Orchard juices and used the .50/1 on the one I was buying and wanted to use the B1G1 free on the one I’m getting free… I’ve done this tons of times at Meijer and other stores. This trip, the coupons beeped and the manager told me I had to buy 3 juices to use the 2 coupons. I tried to tell her that in the past, the free coupon attaches itself to the free item, meaning you can use another coupon on the one you’re buying. I called Meijer corp. and they said it was up to the store.
My question is- have you had this happen to you at Meijer? I know I’ve done this similar deal a million times before… so maybe something has changed in their system??
I’ve been collecting all the Ronzoni coupons from free magazines I get. Can’t wait for them to go on sale for $1 per box at Meijer again!
Meghan a couple of weeks ago I had the same thing happen to me. I think it depends on the individual Meijer, but my Meijer (Cascade/GR) will not let you use 2 coupons when using BOGO sale. They said that you can’t use a coupon for a free item. Some Meijers will ring up the items as 50% off on BOGO sales so you can use two coupons. I think they are changing systems.
Meghan, I’m trying to think if I used that combination in the last little while at Meijer. I don’t think I’ve done it recently. I’ll let you know if I do.
Emily, I don’t have any luck using a coupon on the free item with a BOGO sale at Meijer. Their system can be a little tempermental with coupons.
