Here’s a simple gift idea that you can whip up in 10 minutes. You’ll start with a pair of knee high women’s socks and transform it into baby leg warmers.

Look for bargains at the dollar store…I found mine on sale for $1 at Target.

What You’ll Need

Women’s knee high socks
Scissor or rotary cutter
Sewing machine or serger
Matching Thread

Cut off the heels and toes of the socks.

Make a cuff with the foot section of the sock.

Place cuff over the cut edge of the tube part of the sock. You’ll want to line up all the cut edges.

Pin in place.

Sew or serge to attach all 3 cut edges. I used my serger. If you use a sewing machine, you may want to zig-zag stitch for added stability.

Unroll cuff and you’re finished.

Adorable under a dress, worn with cloth diapers and an extra layer to keep those little legs warm.

we do this with adult knee socks and use as arm warmers for us big people too! Looks cute under a tshirt or provides an extra layer of warmth under a sweater. Best is, when you start getting warmer indoors, you just pull them off. Avery and I wear them all the time in the winter!
