I mentioned on Facebook yesterday that I made beer bread for lunch and a couple people asked for the recipe.
Thanks so much to my friend Sarah who shared this recipe with me.
Simple Beer Bread Recipe
3 cups flour
1 tsp. salt
3 tsp. baking powder
1/2 cup sugar
12 oz. beer
1/4 cup butter
In a large bowl, combine dry ingredients. Add beer and mix well. Put in a 8×8 pan and spread. Melt about 1/4 cup butter and drip over the top. Bake at 350 degrees for 37 minutes.
This bread taste wonderful with chili. Or we make sandwiches with cheese and deli meat. The boys love it with peanut butter and homemade jam (so do I!) It also makes marvelous grilled cheese sandwiches the next day.
