Yesterday at Target I found an accordion style check holder in the $1 area at the front of the store. I’ve been trying to come up with a way to stay better organized while preparing for shopping at different stores and while I’m in the stores. For example, pulling coupons, where to put lists, separating transaction, etc.
So this is my new plan. I labeled each of the slots into these categories:
- No symbol (I’ll use these 1st 3 slots when I’m in the store to move coupons into for transaction one, two, and coupons I’m not using that I can refile when I get home.)
- Family Fare
- Rite Aid
- Target groceries
While I’m planning my trips, I pull coupons for the stores I plan to shop at during the week. I generally paper clip like coupons together along with the corresponding store coupon (if there is one). Now with my new coupon holder I plan to put the coupons that I need into that store’s section. Then when I find the product at the store, I’ll pull the coupon(s) and put them into the correct transaction slot. If I look at the price of a product and decide I’m not going to buy it, then I move that coupon into the no symbol slot. I have been using envelopes, but I’m excited to have everything in one little package. I was constantly misplacing envelopes and ended up with multiple envelopes for one store.
I’m thinking that I’m going to buy another one of these to keep my monthly receipts…
Does anyone have any more questions about coupons in general that I haven’t covered? I’d love my posts to be relevant to the questions you have.
